1. Some areas may still be recovering
While tremendous progress has been made, some areas, businesses, beaches, and activities may still be closed or need additional time to recover.
We ask that you please respect closures and recovery efforts and understand that conditions may change as work continues throughout the island.
Please travel with patience, understanding, and aloha.
2. Many businesses are open
Across Kauaʻi—and particularly in Poʻipū and Kōloa—restaurants, shops, activities, and local businesses have reopened and are excited to welcome both visitors and residents. There is still so much to see, experience, and enjoy during your stay.

3. Come with Aloha
While you're here, we encourage you to:

- Bring patience and understanding. Some services and experiences may look a little different while recovery continues.
- Explore what is open. There is still so much of Kauaʻi ready for you to experience and enjoy.
- Share your aloha. Kindness and understanding mean more than ever right now.
