We have all been on pins and needles since Southwest Airlines dropped the official announcement confirming the rumors about their future plans to offer service to and from Hawaii. Then a little later we were even more excited to learn that these plans included flights into Lihue, Kauai. And now we are beyond ecstatic that flight service into Lihue Airport on Kauai has finally begun.
On Sunday, November 10th flights between Sacramento, California (SAC) and Honolulu, Oahu (HNL) as well as flights between Honolulu, Oahu (HNL) and Lihue, Kauai (LIH) successfully kicked off. The fantastic news does not stop there... Southwest Airlines has announced plans to continue expanding nonstop service to, from, and within Hawaii.
