Description

Hale Momo is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathrooms, air-conditioned private home located just one block away from world-famous Poipu and Brennecke's beaches. Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac on a quiet street in sunny Poipu, you can walk to the beach in 2 minutes. You can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing environment while being just steps from surfing, body boarding, snorkeling, sunbathing, picnic areas, restaurants, and shopping.
Hale Momo was featured on the popular TV show "House Hunters" on HGTV!
The home features a spacious living room, 3 wraparound lanais, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a games room (including foosball and ping pong). There are two TVs and free internet WiFi. One of the 4 bedrooms functions as a second master suite and can be locked off as a private studio if desired and has its private entrance (it also connects internally to the rest of the house).
Outside you will enjoy the large lovely, private lawn with plenty of space to play and relax. There is a large fire pit, propane BBQ, 2 large mango trees (take all you want during mango season!), and an outdoor shower. The yard is very large and there is lots of room for playing games or having a large group gathering (up to 25 people). In 2017, we added a whole new outdoor living area under the house on the ground floor (the main part of the house is raised on pillars so this area is completely protected under a roof). It has its large dining area (the best place in the house for having meals as a group!), separate lounging areas, and a hot tub, and in the adjacent yard, there is a beautiful new fire pit with seating around it. This new area is stunning and is everybody's favorite part of the house!
There is beach equipment included (chairs, umbrellas, mats, cooler, beach toys) as well as many baby items (Pak-n-Play playpen for baby (can be used for sleeping), high chair, booster seat, baby bath, umbrella strollers, and baby gates for the stairs). Towels, Starter soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, dishwasher, and laundry soaps are all included.
Elite membership to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club is included with your reservation. The club is newly renovated and is located 0.5 miles from Hale Momo (10 minutes walk/3 minute drive). Features include an 82,000-gallon resort-style swimming pool with a waterslide, a 1,600-gallon hot tub, sand-bottom children's pool area, fitness machines (treadmills, ellipticals, ATMs, stationary bikes), a weight circuit, free weights, medicine balls, 3 UTSA regulation tennis courts (ball machines, racquets, and balls provided), fitness classes (Core, Zumba, Water Aerobics, Yoga (yoga mats provided; note that cost for these classes is $8 per class/per person), and personal training (extra cost required). You will be assisted in booking fitness classes and personal training, or reserving a tennis court as needed. The club is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
The house is located approximately 15 miles from Lihue Airport on the sunny south shore of Kauai where the ocean is always crystal clear and the temperature perfect! This is the perfect house for groups of 6-10 people. We suggest you book early as the house runs at an 80-85% occupancy rate.

This was a perfect place to gather with extended family and enjoy Kauai and Poipu. We were 10 people - adults and kids from three family units - and the house gave us great areas to both gather together and rest separately indoor and outdoor. The AC was wonderful, and we cooked and BBQed meals in the comfortable kitchen and outdoor space downstairs. The beach is literally a block away, and the beach gear made it easy to hang out and play there much of the time. Pool/athletic club and games in the house basement were great too. The house was so comfortable and welcoming, from the spaces to the decor to the views. Wifi worked great too. Suite paradise was a pleasure to work with as well. Would definitely come here again and rent from Suite Paradise more generally too!

The property fit us perfectly, the kids loved it and the short stroll to the beach allowed the kids to explore and swim at will. We found it to be perfectly located as the base to explore the island from. We hit up the Air Kauai helicopter ride, the Koloa zipline, Blue Dolphin ocean raft from Port Allen, surf lessons at Hanalei Bay and more. AC was a welcome bonus as not every home in this area has it. Every room had a balcony and the master is essentially a studio apartment with optional separate access, kitchenette, etc. Ground level had nice outdoor shaded sitting area with games, fire pit, spa, etc.

Great location to the beaches in Poipu. Nice having the hot tub and the area to grill out. Also enjoyed the athletic membership nearby which was helpful with our kids when the overall surf and swim and conditions in the ocean were rough. Quick responses from the vacation rental company and Peter when questions were asked. It was nice having our own parking and not having to worry about finding a spot to park when we went to the beach which was just a half-block away. We love Kauai and we will be back.

This home was PERFECT! We stayed here for almost an entire week. the pictures don’t do this home justice. It’s perfect for a bigger group. We had a VERY small wedding ceremony in the backyard, and we used the house as the get-together spot for the week. There’s no street parking allowed, but you are just around the block from a huge public lot. The driveway easily holds 6 cars, so you shouldn’t have an issue. We would love to come back!

Hale Momo was a fantastic place and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Poipu area. The pictures depict the house perfectly -- the bedrooms are generally spacious, the living space was great for hanging out, and we loved the downstairs lounge/outdoor area. Beyond its lovely accommodations, the house also offered plenty of beach necessities and toys which we took full advantage of. And yes, the beach (which was awesome for both the kids and adults in our group) is a whopping 3-minute walk down the road. The only "know before you go" comment I have is that the house itself does get pretty darn warm/humid when it's hot outside and while there is no A/C, like most houses on the island, there are plenty of fans in each room and windows to open for a cross breeze. Fortunately, we found that we were able to find some midday relief hanging out in the outdoor lounge area!

The house was everything it was advertised to be. A great open space up and downstairs and right down the street from the ocean and within walking distance of a couple of amazing restaurants. Unfortunately, we came the week of Hurricane Lane but we were still able to have a great week in big part due to the house and it’s location!!

What a wonderful home! As mentioned before, the location is ideal--a quick walk to the beach, with all the gear provided! The neighborhood had everything we needed within a 5-10 minute drive. The house was well taken care of and if we needed something, there was a person to call or text that responded quickly. We had 9 people in our group and everyone was very comfortable!

We were a family of six and found the large common areas to be wonderfully relaxing. We loved the location. The house is a short walk to Brennecke's Beach and various members of our family body surfed and boogie boarded, snorkeled and surfed (there weren't a lot of waves). We enjoyed being able to take long walks along the coast. The kitchen was sufficiently well outfitted that the kids could make croissants for breakfast and pasta from scratch for lunch. We used the outdoor grill to grill fish and meat.

Amazing space, and such a short walk from the beach! This is definitely one of the best AirBnB's I've stayed at. My friends and I were in town for a wedding and shared this house. The house itself is very nicely finished, clean, and spacious. And when they say 2-minute walk to Poipu beach, they're not joking! When we hung out with others at Poipu Beach and Brennecke's with other friends, we just parked at the house and walked over it's that easy. But the "extras" - fire pit, hot tub, ping pong, mini-golf, etc were what set this place apart from other places we've stayed. We didn't even really get to use all of them as we didn't have a ton of downtime!
