The one to five bedroom condos and homes range in size from 1,000 to approximately 2,000 square feet are home complete with living-dining rooms, kitchens (with all appliances, cooking and tableware), large bedrooms, full baths private lanai decks and more. The resort also has simpler economy studio -cottages available as Kauai vacation budget accommodations.

The Poipu Kai Resort is a low-rise vacation rental hotel spread among seventy acres of tropical gardens stretching between two of Poipu's white sand beaches. On the western end the Brennecke-Poipu Beach Park offers a variety of lagoons and bays suitable for most everyone; a calm lagoon for small kids, a great snorkeling lagoon, and waves for body surfers and body boarders of all skill levels. On the eastern end along with the Grand Hyatt Kauai is Shipwreck Beach where the strong waves may be too challenging for many.

Poipu Kai has 70 acres of tropical gardens connecting the two beaches at each end of the resort; Shipwreck Beach and Brennecke Beach.	Poipu Kai entry levels vary; at ground level, second or third floors. Parking is close to all entries.	The Poipu Kai Racquet Club has nine hard and soft courts. They are unlit to preserve Kauai's pristine starlit nights.

Nearby Brennecke-Poipu Beach Park has places for snorkeling, body & body boarding, surfing and even a very calm children's lagoon.	Walking and jogging paths run through the Poipu Kai Resort gardens to the beaches.	Brennecke Beach, at Poipu Kai's west end, is world renown for its consistent body surfing and body boarding waves.
